FINAL TASK PRODUCTION BLOG: All OF US COMING TOGETHER

 




At first it was a struggle to be able to get all of our member together for filming. Zariah let it be known to Me and Saja that she wouldn't be here for the first week of March, so we needed to push the filming back, so she is there with us. Her importance in the film is vital because her character is important to our scenes. She ties them all together with her interactions with Saja. As well as her being the person holding the camera since most scenes are between me and Saja.  Our dates do conflict though as she is unavailable during the week and so is Saja. Our only option would be to film on the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. However, this isn't our biggest issue seeing how quickly it was resolved. Our biggest was figuring out the locations for our film. Our scenes range from the park and a house. The locations for the park were decided by all three of us. For our ad, we decided on the park that would be closest to me. For our music video, we decided on a park closer to Zariah and Saja. Now for our final task, we have decided on a park in the middle of both of us. For the other location, which is a house, the decision was a hefty one. My first thought was to film at an Airbnb so we wouldn't get in the way of each other's families and what they have going on in their houses. It would be nice and quiet without the interference of them. After pitching this idea, they had their concerns with bringing up the money for the Airbnb. Once again, we were in a predicament with the locations specifically with the house. After a great debate, we led with the decision to film at Zariah's house after she discussed with her mom getting her to agree.

FINAL TASK: FILMING AT OUR LOCATIONS

  Our dates for filming has changed significantly as time progressed. As distance is a key factor in our production process, we have had to resort to us putting separate videos together. Our first plan to film at Zariah’s house fell  through because  they had a family emergency that day. This led to us having to scramble together to have our film dates together. We did panic at a point in time which led us to separate from each other. This separation bridged us apart from each other. We did have a couple of disagreements when we were in contact with each other. Our pettiness did get the best of us at times. However, all of us Me, Zariah and Saja came to the realization that this project needs to be done. As a unit we must come together for the sake of our short film. We worked so hard on our script putting our creative minds together.
