FINAL TASK: FILMING AT OUR LOCATIONS

 

Our dates for filming has changed significantly as time progressed. As distance is a key factor in our production process, we have had to resort to us putting separate videos together. Our first plan to film at Zariah’s house fell  through because  they had a family emergency that day. This led to us having to scramble together to have our film dates together. We did panic at a point in time which led us to separate from each other. This separation bridged us apart from each other. We did have a couple of disagreements when we were in contact with each other. Our pettiness did get the best of us at times. However, all of us Me, Zariah and Saja came to the realization that this project needs to be done. As a unit we must come together for the sake of our short film. We worked so hard on our script putting our creative minds together. We came about tackling our problems by discussing with a film teacher at our school to see any possible ways to fix our issues with filming. We decided to seek advice from her because of her background in filming and her ability to be an innovative filmmaker and problem solver. She also has a way with words to mediate heated situations and tensions. She advised us to put our pride aside and actually talk to each other. In the midst of this, she also stressed the importance of us finishing the short film or movie for the sake of our grade and Cambridge. It took a couple of days, but we ended up finding a solution with her wiseful words. We had decided to film our parts in bits and pieces with the process entailing that I film my parts at the park with my sibling recording. Then Saja and Zariah come together to film their parts. Once all of those pieces are uploaded, they will then be put together and edited.
