What images are prioritized in the opening sequence and why do you think they were chosen?

-images of Elle growing up were shown in the opening. Her friendship with lee, family moments and the everyday suburban life. The images were to introduce Elle and her long-standing relationship with lee. The personal memories being shown helped the audience feel more connected to her as we are being walked through. The music and visual creates a warm cheerful mood right away. 


How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? Why did you see that made you feel that way?

- The film uses an upbeat tone and visuals. The opening has bright and warm colors with playful Music which creates a fun mood. The fast-paced montage of the childhood memories and friendship focus on the emotional part of this story instead of the drama. Elles Voiceover is comedic making the film feel casual and relatable. These all make the movie entertaining and heartfelt.

FINAL TASK: FILMING AT OUR LOCATIONS

  Our dates for filming has changed significantly as time progressed. As distance is a key factor in our production process, we have had to resort to us putting separate videos together. Our first plan to film at Zariah’s house fell  through because  they had a family emergency that day. This led to us having to scramble together to have our film dates together. We did panic at a point in time which led us to separate from each other. This separation bridged us apart from each other. We did have a couple of disagreements when we were in contact with each other. Our pettiness did get the best of us at times. However, all of us Me, Zariah and Saja came to the realization that this project needs to be done. As a unit we must come together for the sake of our short film. We worked so hard on our script putting our creative minds together.
