FINAL TASK: OTHER INFO

 Location- Park

Character- Jaylah

Jaylah is sitting on a park bench, scrolling on her phone. She sighs then calls someone.

Saja (on phone)- “Hey, are you home right now?”

Location- House (bedroom)

Character- Saja

Saja is laying on her bed, phone to her ear:

Saja- “Yeah, I am. What going on? You sound upset”


Location- Park

Character- Jaylah

Jaylah- “I needed to get out for a bit, everything feels overwhelming, and I didn’t want to be alone.”


Location

Location-House (living room)

Character- Zariah

Zariah walked into the room while Saja is in the phone.

Zariah- “Who are you talking to?”

Saja (covering the phone)- “Jaylah. She’s at the park.”


Location- House/park (split shots)

Characters- Saja and Jaylah

Saja- “You don’t have to go through everything alone, you know that.”

Jaylah- “I know, I just don’t like to feel like I’m bothering people. Me and Jayden’s break up shouldn’t be anyone else’s problem.”

Saja- “You’re not bothering anyone. That’s what friends are for.”

Jaylah smiles lightly 

Jaylah- “Honestly, being able to talk to you makes it feel way less heavy.”

Saja- “I’m glad, you should stay there for a bit. Breathe.”

Zariah- “And when you’re ready, come back. We’ll be here. Well not literally seeing as we live about 1,000 miles away from each other.” 

All three girls' chuckle


Location- Park

Character- Jaylah

Jaylah gets up from the bench

Jaylah- “Thank you, I really needed this talk.”


Location- House

Characters- Jaylah and Zariah

Jaylah- “Anytime.”

Zariah- “Always.”

The call ends.


Jaylah walks down the park path, phone in her hand looking extremely calmer.


Schedule 

02/03/2026- We will start writing a throurogh script. We will focus on simple dialogue and strong visuals. Since we won’t have a lot of time, we aren’t going to add unnecessary scenes.

02/10/2026- This is the day we will begin filming. We will record all the scenes based on our shot list and film multiple tasks to make sure we have enough footage to work with. We will pay close attention to the lighting, sound, and camera positions.

02/16/2026- On this day, we will edit the footage. We will select the best clips and trim each scene to make sure it stays within the time limit. We will also add transitions or sounds. Our final task will be reviewed and prepared for submission.

We will be filming in a house and park.

Health and safety

To ensure our safety during filming, we will stay aware of our surrounding and choose safe, public locations. We will avoid filming near traffic or unsafe areas and make sure everyone is supervised if needed. All equipment if being used, will be handled very carefully and we will take breaks if anyone feels tired or uncomfortable.


Backup Plan 

As a backup plan, if we cannot film at the park or house, we will use similar indoor or outdoor locations and rely close-up shots to maintain the setting. If audio or time becomes an issue we will re-record dialogue and adjust the script if needed.

FINAL TASK: FILMING AT OUR LOCATIONS

  Our dates for filming has changed significantly as time progressed. As distance is a key factor in our production process, we have had to resort to us putting separate videos together. Our first plan to film at Zariah’s house fell  through because  they had a family emergency that day. This led to us having to scramble together to have our film dates together. We did panic at a point in time which led us to separate from each other. This separation bridged us apart from each other. We did have a couple of disagreements when we were in contact with each other. Our pettiness did get the best of us at times. However, all of us Me, Zariah and Saja came to the realization that this project needs to be done. As a unit we must come together for the sake of our short film. We worked so hard on our script putting our creative minds together.
