OUR MUSIC VIDEO EDITING PROCESSES
In our editing process, we utilized the software CapCut. Well not us specifically. Saja is the strongest out of me and Zariah with editing. I'm not well oriented with the process of editing. Zariah knows about it since she has a social media presence but not so much. So, Saja was the best option due to her knowledge. She was also the main editor responsible for our enticing ad on Stanley's for our last project. This influenced our decision to record on Saja's phone so she would lead the editing. The video was then uploaded to CapCut which then started our editing process. In a collective effort, we decided to put the song as a form of a voiceover for our music video. While playing back the music video we filmed, we noticed some aspects that could be improved. The lighting in the music video was very dim as it was difficult to see. Many of the moments that were important to the video weren't emphasized as much as we wanted them to be due to the lighting. In order to fix this issue, the brightness had to be adjusted to a higher setting so the moments would be highlighted as such. As a result, the video was way more clear ridding of the blurriness. If this was still present in the music video, misconceptions would have been present. It would also have led to questions being left by the viewers inquiring what's occurring the music video. Aspects of the music video would be left up to interpretation. After fixing these faults, we were able to look at the video and giggle about the little things in our performance. Our performance with the editing allowed our music video to be the masterpiece that it is.
