MY MUSIC VIDEO GROUP

 





For this music group project, I decided to work with the same group I had previously worked with. This group consists of myself, Zariah and Saja. I chose to work with these girls again simply because of our chemistry.  When filming our commercial, it proved to be the most fun I've had in a while. We all came together and got along as if we've known each other for years. The laughter that was shared between all of us is the most memorable part. With the bloopers and trying to get a pitch perfect laugh was hilarious and we all look back on it and smile. Even though laughter was involved, we had conversations that felt natural not forced as we were working on the process behind filming. Besides the chemistry, these girls get work done proficiently. No matter what happens, they always come together to get their work done on time with effort. They both have busy schedules since they are on the cheer team which requires them to practice after school. To add on to this, they have games on Thursday sometimes Friday nights. However, they find the time in their schedules to manage their extra curriculars and schoolwork. They are never deterred by any circumstances. Another aspect that made me want to work with Zariah and Saja is their strengths. Saja is amazing at editing as she can easily cut out bloopers and input music. Her skills can take our music video to a whole different level. Meanwhile, Zariah can easily execute any scene or action given to her making her a good actor.  Lastly, I’m creative which allows me to come up with great ideas and stories. Overall, I’m excited to see what our group comes up with for our music video.

FINAL TASK: FILMING AT OUR LOCATIONS

  Our dates for filming has changed significantly as time progressed. As distance is a key factor in our production process, we have had to resort to us putting separate videos together. Our first plan to film at Zariah’s house fell  through because  they had a family emergency that day. This led to us having to scramble together to have our film dates together. We did panic at a point in time which led us to separate from each other. This separation bridged us apart from each other. We did have a couple of disagreements when we were in contact with each other. Our pettiness did get the best of us at times. However, all of us Me, Zariah and Saja came to the realization that this project needs to be done. As a unit we must come together for the sake of our short film. We worked so hard on our script putting our creative minds together.
